Welcome to the November Stamp of the Month (SOTM) Blog Hop! This month's set is called A Little Thanks. This 16 piece set has many ways to show your appreciation.
If you have come here from Cindy Leek's Blog you have seen the scary talent that our consultants have to put you under their spell! We have just over sixty Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations, using the November SOTM and other great CTMH products.
It is simple to follow our blog hop - just click on the link at the end of the post to move to the next one!
Here is what I made this month:
The papers and colors are from Olivia paper packs. I made about 20 cards from scraps and ran some of the scrap cardstock through my cuttlebug with various embossing folders. The colors used are Smoothie, Sunset, Chocolate and Pear.
Here is a detail shot:
After folding sections for the flower and adhering to the card, liquid glass was applied and then the entire flower was sprinkled with prisma glitter. The glittered flower was then allowed to dry before the excess was tapped off the flower.
For instructions on flowers check out the March blog hop post. This is not a straight fold, I folded the circle on this flower starting about 3/4 of length in, then fan fold until complete (give a flaminco look to the fanfold). If that isn't clear, write me a note and I will take pictures of this twist to the flower fold.
Remember, the November SOTM is only available until November 30! Contact your CTMH Consultant to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

ReplyDeleteSo how did you make the flower, it's great!!
ReplyDeleteI put a link to a previous blog hop post which shows the basics for flowers. This is a slight twist in that it isn't a straight accordian fold but an offset fold to give a zig zag accordian pleat when done.
