February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the February Stamp of the Month (SOTM) Blog Hop! This month's set is called Friendship. This set of 8 stamps works well with Wings paper pack.

If you have come here from Brae Montgomery's Blog you have seen some of the great work from our CTMH consultants! We have almost seventy Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations, using the Friendship SOTM and other great CTMH products.

It is simple to follow our blog hop - just click on the link at the end of the post to move to the next one!

Here is what I made this month:

The papers and colors are from the Wings paper pack. The colors used are Black, Sweet Leaf and Pear.

I used two clear cards and embossed them with Sizzix Damask folder.  Once the pieces were embossed I sanded the raised image for a frosty look and then made the score lines and cuts to assemble the box.  The February SOTM was used to create a repeated pattern on Sweet Leaf cardstock and a band was cut to go around the box.  Tiny Black pearls were placed in the center of each image on the band.  Three light green rhinestones were placed to the right of the truncated saying.  I colored the first part of the saying with markers, stamped and then cleaned the stamp.  Then I colored the rest of the saying (highlighting friend and heart in opposite color from rest of the saying).  There are three mats behind the saying layer with a small loop of black and white ribbon from the Wings Workshop sandwiched between.

Remember, the February SOTM is only available until February 28! Contact your CTMH Consultant to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

  2. What a great little project! I'm curious...how did you form the bottom of the box?

I had a small opening in the bottom of the box (1" x 1") but I cut a piece of cardstock to fit the bottom of the box. I put glue dots on each corner to make sure the cardstock stayed with the box.
