May SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month (SOTM) Blog Hop! This month's set is called Chairs to You! This set of fourteen (14) stamps are a fun set for moving, welcome to the neighborhood, friendship and much more.

If you have come here from Katy Donaldson's Blog you have seen some of the great work from our CTMH consultants! We have over fifty Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations, using the Sensational SOTM and other great CTMH products.

It is simple to follow our blog hop - just click on the link at the end of the post to move to the next one!

Here is what I made this month:
I used a damask print from the Emporium paper pack for the chair, created a pleat for the middle bottom and added pearls.  after attaching the pearls, I used a marker to add the lines so the chair looks tufted.  The paper fold flower is from a very old paper set but I love the greens.
Here is a detail shot of the chair and paper flower.

Here is a second card that was made with watercolor pen and ink from the pads, to color in the image and some paper piecing.

I used glitter glue on the seat of the first chair and the centers of the flowers along the bottom border.  The colors are inspired by emporium paper pack.

Remember, the May SOTM is only available until May 31st! Contact your CTMH Consultant to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount or even free!

  1. Love the cards and use of color and sanding!

  2. Very fun cards - love those bright colors!

  3. Oh my gosh these is darling! I really love the dry embossed background on the 2nd card! You should tell everyone how you did that.

  4. The added kick pleat at the bottom of the chair - very clever. I really like the 2nd one with the assorted chairs. Nice job!

  5. Lovely cards AND your accordion flower is STUNNING!

  6. The background for the second card was done with a paisley embossing folder using my cuttlebug. I then sanded the paper to highlight the embossed image.

  7. Your cards are beautiful! I love the pleating on the front of the chair, and that folded medallion is gorgeous.

I appreciate your feedback - it helps me grow!
